Hey guys, I am new to Chevy's and I need your expert opinion. I want to upgrade the tires and wheels on my '66 Malibu (4-door). I am looking for more of an updated yet fairly classic musclecar look. Maybe some Cragars, Weld's, or Centerlines...15" or 16" wheels. I would like your recommendations as to specific sizes and backspacing. It is a daily driver so nothing too outrageous is needed. Once I decide on a style I will see if they are available in the sizes you guys may suggest.

Thanks a lot!

P.S. I would also like to know what the original tire height was on this car. Is it worth trying to keep the tire/wheel height combo as close as possible to factory height in terms of the speedo accuracy and so forth?

Something like the 17's on my '67 ;) ...

Hey, that's a pretty sweet combo! Questions: Does your ride suffer at all with the lo-profile tires? Any clearance problems? What are the specific sizes on your car?

Thanks! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
That car rides like a Cadillac!
The wheels are Boyd Coddington Smoothie II, 17 x 8", 5.5" BS, with 245/45-17 Falken ZE-512 tires.
Stock suspension with KYB gas shocks. Tons of clearance. I bought the same size tire all around so I could rotate them. It's a stock motor/drivetrain so the performance look wasn't necessary.
