changed out my entire ignition system and now when I'm driving I get a poping sound coming though the exhaust checked the timing it's right there. New msd box control module and coil, down on power and missing or poping though the exhaust what could I be missing??

Do you need to change the plug gap for the new system? Also check for proper voltage to the system.

what a good gap to run with an MSD ignition? I've tried .045 then .055 does not change. Oh it has proper voltage I checked.

As zombie 1969 had stated check the voltage, your original points system was ran through a resistance wire from ignition switch to coil + you need to run a new wire at ignition switch to your new system. check your firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2,if all this is good possible bad exhaust valve, check manifold vacuum with a gauge and see if the gauge needle is steady or is it bouncing?
