Is there any changes that need to be made for a convertible to switch from a small block to a big block? I had someone tell me that I would twist the frame by going to a zz427 in my 307 car.

I think any time you install a high power engin theres a chance things will twist.I would think if your frame and body are solid youd be good.There are braces you can ad to the back that you probably dont have being it was a 307 car.other than that not sure.The braces were used from the factory on big block cars.Not sure if they were an option or part of the package.

The big block cars used the same frame as the small block cars...

As Gary said, braces in the rear of the car where the front of the upper and lower control arm attach.
