Installed my 275/60/15 BFG drag radials and new 15X8.5 Centerlines with 4 7/8 BS and drivers side sidewall is in line with lip. On passenger side I have a finger. Is it advisable to try sliding the body over 1/4"???
Thanks graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Is the tire hitting anything on corners or driveways? If not,I would probably leave it alone.
If it is,you can loosen the body-to-frame bolts and "bump" it over to center the body.

Yeah man I was just thinking the same thing but I measured a couple points from the frame and looks like the body is within a 1/4". I guess the wheel wells can still be off more. Come to think of it I haven't tightened down my SSM bars yet and she ain't under her own power so I don't know about tire rub. I noticed my 67 GS is off about 3/8 and it's all stock, maybe it's pretty normal.

69 convertible, 15x8 rallies, 4.5 BS, 275/60R15's, same problem. Right front tire, 1 finger to fender in front. LF tire, 3 fingers. It rubs when backing with the wheel slightly turned and I hit the brake, or when pulling off a high curb. What can be done?
:(

:( A little different problem, your closer to the rocker on one side. Do you have stock suspension and what shape are your bushings in?

Actually, it's close to the front of the fender. There's a noticably smaller gap between the fender and door on the right than there is on the left (it opens and shuts without contact), so I suspect there was an amateur restoration, or at least an accident in my convertible's past. I'm going to check with a body man and see if he can slide the doghouse up on the right side. graemlins/sad.gif
