Does anyone know a source for the 1969 Malibu pinch weld trim that goes around lower edge of top where the boot attaches? Several catalogs have it listed, but one of them seem to have it in stock. I think they are trying to gather enough orders before actually making it.

Also looking for the part that holds a manual top down at the front of the folded frame. I have seen some plastic pieces in camaros, but not sure what the piece looks like in a chevelle.

Whats wrong with your originals?Dont have any?There SS so polishing them to new condition is a snap.Other than that order some from a reputable place and wait.

hold down pieces are missing and somebody screwed snaps onto the pinch weld trim. May have to weld up the holes and try to polish it out if I can't get a replacement.

Years ago there was a running ad in Hemmings for gm convert parts. He seemed to have quite the stash. Not sure if he's still selling but worth a try. Somewhere in Georgia if IIRC.

I relize you have a differant year than mine but I also have snaps screwed through the trim into the pinch weld.I still have the original cover and it snaps on.Sure its not suposed to be like that?

No, zombie, I am pretty sure that my boot is supposed to slip under the trim without and snaps. Thanks anyway. If I don't find it I might just have to keep the old ones and use the old boot with snaps that I have.

I'll have to check hemmings to see if that guy is still around.
