My 1970 Malibu odometer doesn't work. The speedometer clicks and jumps when cool, but works fine when it warms up. Can anyone give me the name/website of a reputable repair shop to fix it? I can't find anyone up here in Maine that does speedometer/odometer repairs.

My friends cougar had the whole bouncing/clicking speedometer, and non working odometer.

We took it apart and found the gears were fine, they were just hard to turn, causing one of the gears to just keep riding up another and skipping off. We cleaned with solvent and relubed with wd40 and a tiny bit of grease. Both speedometer and odomoter have been working perfectly for 6 months now.
