Would it be safe to run a bias ply (M/T sportsman)up front W/A BFG D/R in the rear on the track as well as going to and from the track?I'd be driving them about 40 miles round trip to the track(s). Thanx

Yes you'll be fine....I have radials up front and sportsmans in the rear...They tell you not to mix and match becuase of different handling characteristics between radial and non radial tires...I'm still alive and I'm not one who follows the speed limit :D

I've always heard that if you have to mix - radials in front & bias out back is ok, but not the other way around. I must admit, I have never done either myself, so I can't confirm it. BTW, nice '66 Steve, where do you run it? Atco, e-town? Can't wait to get out there myself, Kirk.

Thanx Kirk.I've had the car out to Etown twice, but never out to Atco yet. When I get it back from paint and back together,I'm planning on bringing it out there.
BTW .... VERY clean 66 you have.Bet you can't wait to get that new power plant in :D
Thanx again for the reply.

Thanks Steve. The old girl looks a little rougher up close, but she's got the potential to be really nice w/o too much work. I can't wait to get get wrenchin', and hope to meet up with some of the TC'ers this summer, Kirk graemlins/waving.gif
