From my research through broshors, catalogs ,assembly manuals, carshows , this site and the web it seems there was never a 300 convertible ( 1967 )produced in the U.S. I did read an article that there may have some produced in Canada due to the fact that they wanted to less models /option packages to keep production simpler. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen one .I might be going in this direction with my 67,JOHN

Never heard of one, but if your car wasn't one originally couldn't you just build it how you wanted anyway? What exactly about one would you be looking to know?

I seem to remember this being discussed on here and some pics were posted. There were some produced in Canada. Search for "67 300 convertible" on this site. Just read some of it.

I guess I am just looking to simplify the rear panel area, my car is not an ss nor does it have the original drivetrain ( now an ls2 ). I like the look of the rear emblem and simple tail light bezels , and less, crappy repro non-fitting parts to buy .JOHN

There were 300 convertibles built in Canada only and were available in 1966 as well as 1967 - 131/13267 series.

You'll not only have to change the taillight bezels to 300/300 Deluxe and find the emblem but the trunk lid doesn't have provisions for the trim along the edge so you'd also have to remove those trim studs.

The 300 also had a different rear emblem (above) than the 300 Deluxe shown below. Same taillamp bezels and trunk lid, just a different rear cove emblem.

Thanks for the info and pics, I am liking the 300 deluxe rear emblem , and I see there is a trim piece between the bumper and the tail panel ,mabye I can create the only 300 deluxe convertible in existance , undocumented of course http://www.chevelles.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif , JOHN

I forgot to mention the bottom molding just above the bumper. The 300 didn't have one but the 300 Deluxe and Malibu/SS396 did although those two were different.

I kind of like the idea of the 300/300 Deluxe taillamp bezels, no lower trim but the 300 Deluxe emblem. Problem might be finding one in nice shape.

The rear lower moulding ,I wondered what was so deluxe about my '67. You will recognize my car, it has the deluxe Mexican blanket interior.

Hello, sorry to hijack this thread, BUT I do have information.
Yes, they did make a Canadian 1966 Chevelle 300 convertible with a V8, it`s model number was 13267.

I do own one of these cars ( for the past 25 yrs) and have sent away for GM documentation. There were 230 of these cars produced.

My question is does anyone know of how I can find how many are in existance today, I have never seen one other than mine, But I am sure there are some out there somewhere.

I have a 1965 Chevelle 300 convertible - V8, PG, padded dash, carpeted floor. It's a Canada only car. The car is rare, but not the kind of rare anyone would pay extra for.
