Its been a long time coming since I have been lurking here and over at pro-touring.com. I have been working on a 65 for quite sometime but never really made a thread for it. I am going to start it here, however I am deep into the build and will take some catching up with pics and info.

It started out as a simple freshen up idea but it got way bad quickly. Lots of cancer, and poor repairs prior which made it worse. Needless to say, all new frame, suspension, brakes, floors from front to back, quarters, doors and trunk lid. Lots of parts and pieces had to be made from scratch since the 64/65 is not supported as much in sheet metal. It is getting better now but it's a little late for me.

Now I am into a stroked, fuel injected big block backed by a t-56 and new rear end. All new powder coated stock suspension with a 2" spindle drop. I have the CPP big brakes, however it looks like a complete DSE suspension and Baer brakes are next. The wheels are 19x8's up front and 20x10s' in the rear made by Foose. We have the backspacing pretty dialed in and should have some mock up wheels in a few weeks to check it out before the wheels are cut.

I just finished the entire floor, tubs and trunk area. U-pol raptor covered the belly and Dynamat is going inside of everything, doors, roof, trunk lid, package tray, quarters and of course the floor. I will post pics of the install since I have the new "A" body die cut kits for most of the panels.

I have a lot of people to thank as the process goes on; Mitch Lanzini @ Lanzini Body works, Chip Foose,,we know who he is, Rob Phillips of PCH Hot Rods for finding parts and materials, huge thanks to Corey at OPGI for his knowledge and help sourcing of parts, big thanks to Steve at DW Motorsports in Corona(built the rear end, my motor and some of the best looking Chevelles around), Tim; aka"WidowMaker", my stepdad Steve for helping me along the way and of course my wife..well, you know how it is! She has been very cool with the huge process here at the house for several years now.

Ill pick with up todays progress; got both doors trim holes and lock cylinders welded up, hung on the body and the gaps down to 1/8" (paint stick). I also installed the driver side Procar Elite seat. All that while watching my 3 kids(under 5), it's a party over here all the time!

I'm in for the show! Gotta love that Raptor Lining. Just looks like the perfect texture.

Tonights progress included bolting up the core support and the front fenders. Got them pretty close on the door gaps but I noticed a tweek in the core support so I might get a new one. I am waiting for the wiper valance to come back from a buddy. I had two and combined them into one removing the wiper nipple holes so it is vent all the way across.

I put the car up in the air so I could work on the lower front fender corners no the car so the gap remains consistent. I will get the corner patches roughed in on the car and remove them for welding as not to mess up the gap.

Also both Procar's are in and I am roughing in a center console from the rear seat all the way to the dash. The console has to include room for the shifter of course, Vintage Air controls, window switches, start button, cup holders(front and rear, kids) and vents for the a/c.

Anyone have good pics of in progress or finished center consoles????
