Took your good advice, this is the plan the cragars that I have for the rear are 15 x 8 with 4.25 bs and I would like to follow your recommendations for the rear with 275/60/15 but it was said that i need 4.5 bs. Will this tire and rim combo work on the rear of my '72 Also 15 x 7 on front with 235/60/15. I really don't want to get into modifications. Couple year old springs and shocks. Will the .25 in of backspace make the difference or should I go to a slightly smaller rear tire? Thanks again for the help.

Hey, 72 I have a 1972 Chevelle SS BB. I just put 15x8 4.5 BS with 275-50-15 BFG DR. I have about a heavy 1/4 in. from outter bulge on tire to quarter lip.If you run 275-60-15 the tire section width meaning sidewall bulge to sidewall bulge. Is .2 of an inch less than my 275-50-15 so it should fit but be close to the rear quarter lip. The 275-60-15 is 28 in tall section width is 11 in. and tread width is 8.9 in. The 275-50-15 is 25.9 in. tall section width 11.2 and tread width is 8.9.Those are BFG T/A specs. Hope this helps
Gary.

They fit real nice, the tire is about 1/2" from the quarter lip on one side, a little farther on the other side, it's never touched. I'm running BF Goodrich Radial TAs.
