I am looking for anyone who has actually had a set of 71-72 ss wheels widen yet. Stockton wheels in CA. Wheel Works in NJ. are the only places i have found that widen wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a set of those wheels, and I gotta tell you they look like the only way to widen them is on the back side.

I guess I could measure the backspace when I get home, but the maximum back space I've ever heard of on a stock Chevelle with 15" wheels is 5.5 inches. So maybe you could add 1" or 1.5" to the inside, but it doesn't seem worth the bother, and as far as I know, these wheels are not reproduced, in stock or custom sizes.

Good luck, but with the two edges on the outside, or front of the wheel with the trim ring, I don't think its practical.

Let me know if you find someone that can widen these SS rally wheels. I have a set in the garage, but I want something wider than 15x7 on the back. I think I am going to look at some 15x10 Corvette rallys for the back of my Chevelle.
