I put a big block in my '69 and as we all know that means more power...lot's more graemlins/hurray.gif . Anyway, I'm thinking of running BFG Drag radials, but have been hearing that the Nitto 555R hook just as good and last longer. I'm not to worried about tread life and I don't drive in crappy weather I really want to know which tire performs better? Is there any DOT approved tires that perform better than these 2?

Do those need tubes? If so what is the difference between tube street slicks and drag radials?

Slicks are lighter than the D/R's.The D/R's are better on the street(handling)and tread will last longer. As far as hooking up,I just inproved on my 60ft times of 1.88 to 1.71 with the D/R's. They do hook well for me :D
