I was trying to get to the third sparkplug on the passanger's side, but my headers block it completely. I've tried to remove them, but the ac box blocks the final bolt towards the rear. Does anyone have any advice about getting sparkplugs off with headers?

Well I got it off, I had to use an 1/8" ratchet and 7/16 deep well. I still can't get to my spark plug however. I might have to get a helper to move the hanging header out of the way, while I undo the spark plug. I hate how poorly designed the headers that came on this car are. Any advice on how to get that plug out?

You should have posted some pics of the header before you started.Curious as to what header you have that you cant get the plugs out. There not all easy to do but Ive never had to remove the exaust to do them.Did you try using a wrench on the plug if you couldnt get a socket on it?There is usualy some solution that doesnt involve removing the header.

I ended up getting someone to hold it up so that I could get a wrench on it. It was a very tight fit, but I managed to get it out. I believe that they are hooker style headers. The drivers side plugs were easy to change, only the 6th plug was a problem.

instead of using the sparkplug socket I have had to use openend wrench in the past. Might be too late now, but maybe next time
