Hello 1970 chevelle with 15x8x4.5bs repro SS rims on all 4 with 255/60/15 all around. Just installed a Ramjet 502. The car hooked well before but now just goes up in smoke. I have new BFG radial T/A's on it. I have searched all over and haven't found a definitive answer. I Know 275's will fit, what sidewall ratio do I need, but I would rather go wider. Will 285 or 295 fit, what sizes do I need? I want to keep these rims because they are new. I also want to keep the BFG tires the same for appearance reasons. Will I have to roll the fender lip to fit a 295? Thanks in advance. I searched all over the internet for an hour and a half, no real info. Please post your experiances.

295s should fit with no mods. I think though that for proper hook you'd need a sticky tire, but they would not match.
