My plastic ahtray cover is broke. I took it to a local shop that does plastic welding but they said it's the wrong kind of plastic. Anyone fixed one of these before? What did you use? The little tabs that are rivetted to the metal ashtray are broke off.

Have you considered replacing the ashtray? That shouldn't be too difficult of an item to find. Is this for your '69 SS, on the dash below the radio? I've got a black one out of a '68, from what I remember of my '69, its the same one. $10 + shipping & its yours. LMK.
