Starting to work on mounting my Sparcos. Can anyone describe how the stock seat mount bolts work. I couldn't find a diagram in my assembly manual. Looks like some are hidden from sight underneath the car. Should I upsize these bolts? I'm using the Wedge Engineering brackets.

Not sure about Sparco, but my Corbeau seat tracks are Chevelle-specific. They bolted to the floor in the same factory holes. I didn't upgrade the hardware, except to purchase a good set of inertia-style seatbelts. Two seat mounts are retained by bolts, the other two by nuts on floor-welded studs. This is on a '71 model.

Thanks for the info Gregg. That's what I'm looking for. Not sure if the 66 is similar in mounting the seats. My car has led a rough life so not much is as it came from the factory. So if someone can take a look at an untouched 66 an tell me how they came, it would be really helpful. I'm using Sparco sliders that bolt to the seats. The Wedge brackets bolt the seats to the car.

Maybe this will help. Factory '66 bucket seat car, mounting studs and hole circled.
