Just curious as to what type of rims these are. They look nice on the Chevelle indeed!

I don't know.. they sure are sweet. They remind me of the wheels that the early trans am series camaros used. Or maybe it was AMC.

That's the cover car of the current PHR, I think. They talk about the wheels in the article. I'll check it later tonight and post back if no one else does.

Looks like a style of wheel "Vintage Wheel Works" makes, gotta poke around the net.

Edit- Think these are the same ones: http://www.vintagewheelworks.com/v48.html

Nice. Thanks for the info. I have never seen them before this week when I stumbled onto the ABM pics. I think the rims with the stance go together quite well.

Magazine says they are made by PS Engineering in Torrance, CA from the original molds. Originally used in 69 and 70 Trans Am series races and made by Minilite wheels. Called the T/A II. Don't know if that's the current name or the old name. Here's a photo I found on minilitewheels.com.

Looks veeerrryyy similar to the ones on the 69. Just not as wide plus a different material on the spokes.

Check this "before" picture on the 69. Quite a difference.

If I'm not mistaken, the owner of that car is here on TC. I think he posts as "Laps"

Thanks for the intrest in the wheels, and car. They are PS Engineering Trans An II's by PS Engineering, they are 15 x 8s and 15 x 10's I will have to check on what back spacing we used, I do remember however, we added 1/4 inch to the rear BS to fill up the wheelwell. Anyone interested in the BS or pricing on the wheels can send me a PM. I'd also like to ask for any and every person who can to make some noise toward the tire manufacturers for some v and z rated large 15 inch tires.

Pretty much everything we did to the suspension is outlined in the March issue of Popular Hot Rodding. If you have any specific questions about alignment settings, spring rates, etc, feel free to send me a PM.

do a serach on the 1970-71 trans am american motors winning cars. You will find that both years the factory cars from american motors ran those wheel. I thought I remembered seeing them somewhere.
