I’ve recently completed the restoration of my 70 convertible SS – 454. The current [LIST] BF Goodrich 245/14 60 series radials don’t provide good traction. I want to keep the car on radials all the way around. I’d like to install a set of BF Goodrich 275/15 - 50 series drag radials. I want to keep the sock SS wheel look (from the side view) so would go with special 15” x 8” Vintage 396 wheels.
In doing the measuring it looks like the 275’s would fit … but not sure. Hate to spend the $$ and find out the tires won’t fit. I also want to keep the car at it’s stock height. If some one has done this what is the rim set-back necessary so the tiers will fit?
Any info will be appreciated.
Thanks
