herbyjr Jul 8th, 10, 1:37 AM I just bought a 69 El Camino today. On the drive home, I noticed there was a small window on the dash between the speedo and the fuel guage. It looked like a clock or something should go there, but instead, it just read "Chevelle" inside. I know the vehicles are extemely similar, but is this common, or has someone replaced my El Camino dash with one from a Chevelle? H. My 67 Custom has Chevelle on the horn button and Malibu on the dash bezel. It stinks that they'd print Malibu on El Caminos, but wouldn't take the time to change "Chevelle" into "EL Camino"! :sad: H. The El Camino Custom was the same trim level package as the Malibu, so it got the Malibu trim pieces on the dash, thus no "El Camino" or "Custom" on any of the pieces. Guess the bean counters said it wasn't worth the cost. | ||
