I have Americans 15x7.5 with 4" back spacing on my '67. What is the biggest tire I can get on this rim? The wider the better.

well, Based on the BFG website, 275/50-15, 275/60-15 and 285/70-15 are the biggest I see recommended for 7.5 inch rims.

I have BFGoodrich 295/50-15s on 15X8 inch rims and they work fine... BFG reccommends 8-inches inches for that tire, but I would think another 1/2 inch might be possible. Of course, the sidewalls are pretty short...

BUT, These will NOT fit your 67 with only 4-inches of BackSpacing!!!

I fit the 295/50's (Barely) on the back of my 66 with not outer lip mods, BUT my Backspacing is about 5-inches on my 8-inch rims. So I think your max tires will be about 1.5 inches narrower than my 295 (~ 12 inches total).

I would estimate that using a stock 1967 rearend and 4-inch BS, max tire for you will be about 255 to 265...
