How much of a difference does a Pro touring setup have over stock? Its obviously going to be lighter and more rigid during hard turns..What else to expect?

A pro-touring will be superior in every way. Really any kind of thorough modifications will make it better in every way over stock. Upgrading your bushings, going with boxed control arms, and adjustable shocks on each corner and instantly just like that you have significantly better car in how it handles the road and how it reacts.

A simple comparison would be to drive a stock muscle car, and then drive a Mustang GT, or an LS1 Camaro. It's pretty typical to handle and brake like a modern muscle car, but often have quicker acceleration, and of course maintain the coolest and noise and driving experience of the classic muscle car. Of course if you go more aggressive with the setup and tires, you can get the performance in the Corvette range.

ok I have been reading almost every post in the pro touring section and I have seen quite a bit of ingenuity in the pics. I wish more of yall would show pics of different brands and the installs but all in all I gather the concept.

Anyone know of some kind of gallery that I could look at showing different setups? I like Jeffs chevelle website because has some good pics available..I would appreciate any advice you would like to throw at me.

I guess I just like to be properly educated before I spend $2000-$6000 in a suspension system. I have been looking at airride and coolride setups. Would it be worth the money IYHO? Any clue on longevity of the bags?

mcmlxix posted some good links. www.ls1tech.com is another if you are planning a LS swap, even if not there are some nice A-body builds in the Hybribs/swap section with an A-body sticky topic.

IMO the best thing to do is search for topics created by posters. mcmlxix , yelcamino, stealth71, projectwidowmaker, gokou and others had some great build topics on here and the forums linked above. Dennis68 now screenname sinned had some great suspension topics.
