Just want to be sure, but is 225/70/R14 "correct" for a tire such as the BF Goodrich TA? How about the Coker tires: F70 14 raised white letters. I am looking for at least a near-correct stock look. Anyone know a good source for used tires of either of these brands?
Thanks, :D

I have the correct goodyear polyglas f 70 14's now, You can find them though many resto shops, they run about $150.00 a piece and up
225/70/14 I believe would be to high, more like a 195 or 205 would be closer
have have measured 215/60/14 compared to my f 70/14 original tire, there is about a half an inch differance in hight
hope this helps in some way

I think tirerack.com has a conversion table. I think 205 sounds right but I'm only going from memory so double check.

A 60 tire and 70 tire are different heights even if they say 215,I guess because of the bigger sidewall on the 60? 225's in a T/A radial are hard to find and I think a little taller than the stock tire.I have the 215 70 14 Goodrich T/A on my 69 and with the car sitting on the ground are about 25" tall. Yes 60 and 70 have different sidewall ratios the stock is the 70 and a 205 215 range 70 should be close the stock size.

All else being equal,a 60 series aspect ratio tire will not be taller than a 70 series.
