Looks like it's been pretty dry in MD lately. I'm sure it was another scorcher weekend.... was hot and humid here. Would like to have been there but family matters kept me around here....

Tom, thank for you do for the club. You were all over the place making calls, taking pics...you name it you were all over the show field..Thanks a million my freind.

This the first year I did not assist with the show. My lower back was iffy and I did not wanted to mess it up.

My first year missing the show too, was in Indiana at the Monte Carlo event.

You know I always thought we should have a "hoods and trunks closed" hour on show fields so the photographers can get pics of the cars at their best.

I for one would not be interested in hearing that again. I was one of the recipients of the "drunken stupor message" at 1:30 AM from my former pal Stan :p ......and these types of acts, almost never go unpunished. Payback may not happen for many weeks/months, but rest assured Mr Kryla, there will be a price to pay.:beers:

Tell you what, we'll make that a plan at the 8th Can Am Show this year. Maybe other club/events can use it after we test it.

From my memory, car shots are best at dusk and dawn or whenever the high sun isnt out, right? Therefore if you were going to declare a " hood down hour" you'd want it early ( before 11) or late ( aft 4 pm ) - is that correct? You photo guys pipe up please. It may not amke a big difference during the typical hours a show field is 'running'.

All I know is that Old Red looks like he's getting a fricking lung transplant with the hood and trunk up. And looks ready to rock and roll locked down.

Looks like it was great fun, like always! I too had other committments on Saturday, and was so wiped out on Sunday lasted about 15 minutes on the hot field! Next year WILL be kept open! Sorry I missed most of you!

Great Idea Gene - We will try this out at the Ohio Show also... The "Golden Hour" is 1 hour before sunset and 1 hour after sunrise. We may have to just shoot for a Mid Morning shoot around 10:00 am and hope for the best.

My thoughts exactly, maybe Mark, Park 'em initially with the hoods/trunk closed and then open at 10:30 sort of thing. I shouldnt think it would affect a great many voters in participants judged shows.

Let do it man, and see how it goes.
