Finally mounted new tires and wheels today. I'm running 17 x 9.5 all the way around. Tires on the front are 275/40/17 and rear 285/40/17. Fronts clear fine with no problems. Rear pass. tire has 1 in. clearance between fenderwell lip. Pass. side tire has about 1/8 of an in. to fenderwell lip. The car has never been wrecked, has the original 10 bolt and all bushing etc. are stock never rebuilt. Took for a drive, fenderwell is scratching tire over bumps barely on the widest section of tire sidewall. I really don't want to bend the fenderwell. Anyone have a problem like this or suggestions to fix?

Thanx

Sounds like the body has shifted on the frame. You might need to loosen up the body mounts and "bump" the body over on the frame to help center it again.
