I love the look of the 'Firestone Wide Ovals' and the 'Goodyear Polyglas' F70-14 repro tires. I would like to put some on my 70 SS. A couple of questions:
Are these tires meant to be driven on, or are they just for show? Second, which are better, the Firestone or the Goodyear?
I will be driving the car locally on the street.
No drag strips or expressways.

I have the Goodyears on my Chevelle. I understand that they are made better than the originals were. However, they do ride like a bias ply tire. They do look cool, but for a driver, I suggest getting another set of radials and use the bias plys for show.
