OK, so I've always had a serious lust for the look of Torq Thrusts. I'm dead-set on having them on my 65 Malibu! Where can I find some history on them? I know there were a number of different manufacturers of this style of wheel probably with some slight variation. Are there any to stay away from? If I end up with a pair given to me by a buddy am I going to be hard pressed to match them to another pair?
Thanks for the help!!

To match the old ones exactly yes, you will have a hard time.
I can't say for the quality of the others, but I like my Torque Thrust D's.
Shop around though, my local speed shop beat both the big mail order places price wise.
Chris...This site has some good info on the wheels...www.roadsters.com/wheels/.......Tony

I just bought a set of 15x10's rear and 15x7's front torque thrust II's (the polished alloy version of the torque thrust d's) for my 72'and I absolutely love them. Nice shine, classic look, lightweight ....

Just remember before you buy Torq-Thrust wheels for your Chevelle that there are many different variations made today by American Racing. TT D's are a one piece wheel and size & backspacing options are very limited, especially when trying to run large tires. The TT II and TT Classic wheels are two piece and offer many backspacing and size options.
Above all,do your homework and get the right backspacing.
