Okay, so I saw another thread where Tad mentioned spring clamps... Thanks Tad for the info...

I picked up a set so I can lower the rear of my '70 (eventually, I'll get spring adjusters and some circle track springs, but just too many other projects right now)...

Anyway,
My car has Eibach springs, and they appear to be progressive ( different coil spacing).

Should I clamp a few of the clser coils? Or just some of the "regular" coils...

I want to drop about 1"-1.5", and I noticed about 1/2" to 3/4" space on the lower coils... or should I leave some progressive areas?

I am thinking that by eliminating the closer spaced coils, it will make the spring rate "stiffer" ( might be better with the low car)...
