I just got my tires and rims mounted today and they work great! No rubbing or anything, and I can even rotate them! I have a 1968 Chevelle SS with 4-wheel Drums and no modifications. The combo is...

15x8 w/ (4.5" Backspacing) Centerline Terminator Series "Telstar" (x4) Summit Racing hands down best price
265/50/15 B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A's (x4) Local Tires Plus
7/16" acorn style lug nuts w/ locks (local Checker Auto)

I just wanted to post this here because when I was looking for the info, it was hard to find. I'm Sure this combo would work for any 64-72 Chevelle/El Camino and as long as the B.S. is the same, Diffrent tires/rims would work too. I wanted to get the widest tire crammed into the front and back so I could rotate them when the backs were fried. Good Luck! I will post pictures when I get the chance.

Sorry for the wait. They are the same all around. There is about 8" of tire on the ground. The only complaint I have is that the car wants to steer itself at higher speeds. Probably because there is more area to grip now... Here it is:
