Has anybody ever had to patch one of thier M/T ET streets. The patch we just put on won't hold, are we dealing with an incompitant tire shop or are we missing some important info on this. Don't really want to spend the money on a M/T tube-$75 canadian.

How big of a hole and where is it located? I have had good luck with plugs on 4x4 tires but on my cars, the tire either has been beyond repair or a can of fix-a-flat worked for a temporary measure, until tire could be replaced.

a plug won't work on these types of tires since they're not a belted tire, and the rubber is so thin. If a patch is going to be applied it has to be very lightly sanded on the inside or else it won't take. Just buy a set of tubes and call it a day
