Hi,
I presently have A 1968 Chevelle Malibu convertible which will soon be out of the body shop and i need to put on a set of tires( Goodrich t/a radials) my problem is i'm not sure what sizes to put on. I have brand new 14 inch rally wheels and the existing tire sizes are F-70-14 on the front and G-60-14 on the rear. What would the equivalent metric sizes be?
Would love to hear from anyone who can help.

Thanks,
Chuck

I am just guessing so I suggest you call a tire dealer and they can give you a better answer but I bleieve P215/70R14 and P235/60R14 (if a P235 is a vailable in a 60 series 14") will match up. I had 15" ralleys on my 67 with F70's on front and G70's on back when I bought it and I wanted to keep the look the same but change to BFG T/A's so I went with P215 and P235 respectively...but again, call a tire dealer...they have the books.

Don't claim to be an expert here - someone who knows a little more about tire sizes than me can maybe add to this.

I believe some of the newer sizes are not as tall as the originals - 775 x 14 bias was 27 inches tall the radial replacements are an inch or two shorter
