This is not for a chevelle, this is for a 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage!

Whenever I step on the gas, the pedal feels like its stuck in the UP position. I have to push down on it pretty hard to get it to move, then when it does move, the whole car lurches forward. I checked the throttle linkage in the engine and shot it pretty good with penetrating oil, but the trbl still perists.

Can anyone here offer some good advice? :(

had this problem on a Chevy K5 Blazer. It turned out to be a worn lining in the cable housing. The cable was catching on it and causing it to bind, when it was pushed hard enough to break loose so did the rear tires.

Not familiar with your car.
A common problem with late model FI cars is carbon buildup inside the intake plenum from EGR system.

If that is the case you can remove the air duct, open the throttle and see the black buildup behind the blade.

Remove the throttle body and clean the inside, I use carburetor cleaner B12, and it works freely until the next time.

Will do.. thanks! :)

I poured a pint of Sea Foam into the gas already, hoping that this will work as well.
