I run 15x6's (or 15x7's, don't know, they were on the car when I bought it)and was wondering if they have any real advantage over stock 14x6's in handling or anything. Also, what's your favorite street tire without white lettering? I have Cooper Trendsetter Classic II's.

There are several advantages to running 15's. The greatest advantage is that 15's have lots of tire options compared to 14's. The largest tire most tire stores can get for 14's is a 245/60. You can get almost any size you want in a 15". Because larger tires are made for the 15's that gives you two distinct traction advantages, width and contact area. A 27" tall tire with the same section width of a 25" tire is going to have more traction because of the larger contact area. 15" wheels can also fit larger brakes because the backside of the wheel has more space due to the 1" difference in wheel diameter. Lastly i personally think 15's just fit chevelle wheelwells better. 14's just look small on such a big car.
As far as tires go i've had good luck with Dunlop GT Qualifiers on two of my cars. They're pretty sticky and fun to drive on and they're not too expensive. Hope this helps,
Brian.

Another potential advantage, is that for the same overall tire diameter, the 15 inch wheels will allow for a slightly shorter sidewall (1/2 inch), which will theoretically reduce the amount the tire will roll over and deflect under cornering loads... Of course, this assumes all else is equal with the tires...
