First question:
IS it a 67 shifter? Lots of impala units (and others) are being sold as chevelle shifters and they are not the same. I don't recall any special brackets being required for a stock shifter.

Are you talking about a 4 speed or automatic?

I have a 67 4 speed with stock muncie shifter. What do you mean it doesn't fit the floor right? Is the shifter the wrong shape? The shifter arm for bench seats is much more curved than one for console/buckets.

I'm looking at the picture in the Year One catalog right now. The picture they show for the 67 with console does not look correct.

Both types should have an oval base plate with two holes. The holes should be filled with plastic grommets. They should have a T handle for reverse lock out.

The shift linkage has two threaded studs that protrude thru the shifter handle. Nuts go on top.
