I did a search and didn't come up with anything specific to my question so here goes....

I have a '70 Malibu that currently has 15x7 rally's with 245/60 BFG T/A's and 4.25in backspacing. I will be going with Cragar S/S 15x8 with the same size tires (they are made to fit up to 8.5in rims).

Is anybody running this combo? If so...what backspacing did you go with? I was thinking of going with a 3.75 or 4.00 backspacing to help 'fill the wells' a little more. Is this a good idea and will it clear in the front? I currently have approximately 1.5in between tire and fender edge in the front and about 2in in the back. Since I am using the same tires, those measurements shouldn't change (or am I wrong?).

Also, if anybody has pics of this setup (or similar) please link.

Thanks!

I have 15x8 Crager S/S's on my 70 with 275/60s, BFG T/A's, backspacing is 4.00". No rubbing but they fill the wheel wells.
Check the pics in my sig, maybe you can get an idea what they look like.

I am running 255/60-15 in the front and 275/60-15"s in the back on Crager rims and everything fits just fine !

I don't think you have a choice of back spacing with the Crager rims - they only come in one BS but I can't remember off hand what it is. The guys at Summit can tell you and they have some good prices on them.
