A friend has a set of 10x15 with a 4.5" backspace that were incorrectly ordered and now he's stuck with them. Can I shove them under my 71? Maybe with wheel spacers? Not the best idea I know but I think I could get a good deal and they are pretty cool.
Thanks

You don't need wheel spacers, you need to narrow the rear end an inch each side for em to fit. 5.5" of backspace is optimal for a 10 inch rim on a 70-72. I'm guessing that wheel would only fit if you jacked the rearend up a whole bunch(not wise) or narrowed the rearend(a ton of work or a lot of money or both)

The only wat they will fit is if you tub the car..............With rubber on those wheels you will have atleast 18 inches total  .......I had to do a FULL mini tub to get 15 inches total under mine............Hope this helps...Scott.

I used a 15X10 with a 6" BS on a 71 Elco. Fit nice once I moved the shocks.
Sounds like you are out of luck unless you want to go the 70s route with radiused wheelwells and some nice fiberglass flares.
Or you could narrow and mini-tub.
