L89: Just checked a couple of days ago on this, as I am on the fourth refresh in 16 years on that rat that will not die (hence the name "Bionic Rat") and a Boil, hone, cam bearings and freeze plugs, here in Wisconsin is about $150 bucks.

Hot-tank and hone is about $100-125 here in Seattle, however, the additional $$ come in when you put in all the rest of the needed parts, i.e., if you hone it .040 over aren't you gonna need a set of new forged pistons?

Stan: honing is just to rough up the surface so rings can seat, and alone does not increase the bore to the point of needing oversized pistons: that's what boring does.
