did a 68ss come with disc brakes and a 14" ralley ? I was under the impression that with disk brakes you needed 15" wheels for caliper clearance . I had to change my rims on my 67 camaro to 15" when i converted to discs . any help would be great . :D

My 68 came with the 4 piston calipers from the factory which was offered only in 67 and 68. It also came with the 14 inch ralleyes.

Only on the full-size models (Impala etc.) were the 15" Rallies used with disk brakes.O.K., Corvettes used 15x7 in '68. Camaros, Chevelles & Novas all used 14x6 for '68

If I recall correctly not all rims are compatable w/ disc brakes. They have a different contour. Clearance for the caliper. That is why the early Torque Thrusts were TT D. The D is compatable for disc brakes.
