I personally wouldn't consider a 5" rim. (I cannot remember even seeing one)

I would suggest a 6" rim. I run a 215/65 on a 7" rim, and its perfect. 6" would be fine, but I think 5" would be getting too narrow. I'm assuming these will be on the front of the car, if so - you're going to want the tire to fit the rim well, if the tire is too big for the rim you risk drivability problems.

Almost forgot, look at my website: www.nd.edu/~alayman (http://www.nd.edu/~alayman) to see what that tire looks like on a 7" rim with 3.75" of backspacing. BTW rears are 295/50 on a 10" rim with 5.5" of backspacing.
