Looking at a set of street tires and slicks for my 66 Chevelle. I am using a 71 12 bolt in it so it is 1/2 wider on each side than stock so that is why I want a third opinion.
Here's what I am looking at:
15x8 Weld Draglites w/ M/T Sportsman Pro tires 26" tall,10 1/2" wide
and
15x8 Weld Draglites w/ M/T slicks 26" tall,10" wide - tires are screwed and have tubes
Both sets have 4.5 in backspacing. This is a package deal so want to make sure it all works. I am running 14x7 70s camaro 6 whole rallys with 3 1/2 bs running a 245/60/14. I have a good 2.25 in of room between the tire and body, and have 1 in between tire and the wheel lip.
Even though one is 10.5 and the other is 10, these types of tires are rated differently than regular street tires right? But they look in pics to be the same size when posed beside each other.
Any help is appreaciated.
