: 10" slick on an 8" rim

I had the above combination mounted this past weekend. When the mounted set came home they looked a little odd. The edge of the rim is set in over 1" on both sides. It just looks odd and the edge of the slick, where there had been surface contact (these are used slicks) previously,is rounded more than what appears normal. I think it will fit in my stock '72 Chevelle wheel wells but am I crazy to run 'em? I read other combinations similar to this on this web site but my gut is talkin' again.

My 28x10.5s are on 8 inch Weld Draglite and have been fine.

I have Mickey T's ET Street 26x10.5s on 8 inch Weld Draglites. They fit and work well.

I have 28x12.5 ET streets on my 8" draglites, so you should be fine.
