Hey guys, i am looking into getting the Cragar Star Spoke wheels for my 70 velle. Right now i have 235/60/15 on the front and 265/50/15 on the rear. I would like to go to a little taller tire but no as tall as a 275/60/15. So i am looking at the 295/50/15 and wonder if i need to get the 8 inch or 10 inch rim. Also if i get an 8 in rim the 3.75 in backspacing is enough, but would i have enough space for a 10 inch rim with 4 inch backspacing? This is on a 70 velle with full frame, i have rolled the lips on the fenders already. Thanks guys

Daniel

If you plan on running a 295 rear tire, better find you some other wheels with more backspace.

Im running 275/50/15 on 8" Keystone Raiders (Crager Clones) with 4" backspacing.
295/50 would not even come close to fitting up under the car. The 275/50 barely fit with the 4" offset. If your going to try 295's bet you need at least 4.75 " offset.

I'm currently running 295's on 8" rims, but I haven't measured the offset. Mine are on Centerline Convo-Pro's. I do have some rubbing on the outside, but they fit.

295-50-15 on a 15x8 requires 4.5" backspacing.
On a 15x10 they require 5.5" backspacing.
I have 2 sets of wheels, both with 295's, and those are the measurements on them. I think that this is the best fit you will find.
