I JUST GOT 69 MALIBU WITH A 396, HOW DO I KNOW IF IT IS 325,350,OR375 HP, I KNOW IT WASN'T A BIG BLOCK CAR ORIGINALLY CAUSE IT HAS THE SHIFTER POSITONS ON THE DASH FOR A GLIDE AND IT HAS A TH4OO COLUMN SHIFT IN IT, I WAS ALSO WONDERING WHAT A FAKE SS, IN MINT CONDITION WITH A PERFECTINTERIOR AND ZERO ROT OR RUST, IT'S 396, TH400 AND A 12 BOLT, I AM NEW TO THE CHEVELLE GAME BUT HAVE HAD PERFORMANCE CARS ALL MY LIFE AND OWN A SPEED SHOP, I LOOK FOREWARD TO JOINING SOON, THANKS!

1st step is to see if the numbers on the block pad in front of the passenger side head is there, if so, post them on the "numbers" area, someone will decode them for you. If it's not solid lifters, it's probablly not 375 horse. good luck, and welcome!
