I have a 1972 stock El Camino SS. I'm trying to match up a tire size, as close as possible, to the look of the original G60-15 Goodyear Polyglas tire with a new BFG Radial T/A.

Does anyone have the size specifications of these original tires, G60-15. I'm looking for tread width, section width with std 7" wheel, and overall diameter.

I'm currently focusing on P225-70-15 or P245-60-15 of which I have the Spec's for, and I think that the 225/70's will give the look I'm after.

Thank you for your responses.

I'm almost positive a G60 = p225/60. I know that the F70 on my car was a 215/70, which was factory for a 70SS. Of course radial tire specs would probably be slightly different than the old Goodyear polyglas tires.... Hope this helps....
