: 1972 chevelle stalls when it is put in gear AVOSSLER May 17th, 10, 12:24 AM I have 72 chevelle and when I put it in drive or reverse it wants to stall what could be the problem? My idle is at approz 1000, I'm running a Barry Grant carb 850 demon, 496 CC and turbo 400 tranny. Been running this at the track the last two days my best time was 11.77 at 117 miles an hr in the 1/4 mile. My 60 foot still suck at 1.81, I dont have a transbrake. Worked on the carb and when i put it in gear it does not stall at all. Maybe drops 50 RPM. Thannks | ||
