I found this from past posted topics about tires. Is this really possible without doing any modifcations to the rear of the car? I'd really like to do this (the rims with that tire size) with my car but I'd like to see pics of it first to see what it looks like. I just don't want any complications with rubbing. Let me know what you guys think.
Wes, myself, and several others are running 5 3/4 Backspacing on 15x10's and that's about are much as you can go without rubbing on the inner wheelwell housing/frame or lower shock mount.
Run 5 1/2 to 5 3/4 if you are trying to stuff in the biggest possible tire.
Wes and I are both running 325/50-15 BFG Drag radials with no problems. Wes has a 70 and I have a 69. I believe that 71's should be the same.
