I got a set of what I think are called California Drag mags given to me today. My dad had the same wheels on his GTO back in the 70's and always said I should try to find a set for the Chevelle. Well, I'm just trying to figure out who made them, on the backs it says Foresight Ventures Inc. , and meets SEMA specs. If anyone knows please fill me in. Thanks, Jim

The original California Drag Mag was made by Fenton. I had several sets back in the day and really liked them, but seem to remember a problem with the centers breaking out under hard use. Not mine of course, but others http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Well, I did a little research and found my wheels. They are made by Forsight Ventures (kind of a wierd name for a wheel company) and are called the "flag". They are just a knok off of a drag mag (thanks for the info about them being Fentons). If you guys want to check out a bunch of old wheels check out www.akhwheels.com (http://www.akhwheels.com)

Thanks for the link to akhwheels. Finally someone has a web site with the correct info on vintage wheels. I can't tell you how many different magazine articles have been written with incorrect info. It takes someone who collects the wheels and has visited lots of automotive swap meets to give you the info that is on that web site.
