Cable Dec 10th, 02, 2:01 AM I was just looking over a tire catalog and notice a company called "Kumho".

Thanks guys.

Barista Dec 10th, 02, 4:09 AM My wife's 96 Caddy had them on it when we bought it 3 years ago. These are just a basic 15" all-season tire, but they've performed well. We have 35k miles on them and they're good for maybe another 10k. Not a bad tire, IMO.

DanD Dec 10th, 02, 6:11 AM We sell them at the GM dealer where I work. It's a good alternative to the popular name brand tires, and they are a very good inexpensive tire. I'm sure we have sold at least 100 sets of Kumhos in the last year, and have not had the first complaint.

SDuster11 Dec 10th, 02, 11:44 AM Hey, my best buddy has them on his F-Body Camaro (92) and he is loving them says "has a good agressive tread pattern, minimal sidewall roll by the way they are 255/50/16." Two thumbs up!

PT_70ss Dec 10th, 02, 5:31 PM Kumho is an affordable alternative to some of the bigger named tires, and they are said to perform quite well. I think quite a few used there road racing tires because they are way cheaper than the others and work well.

White71Elco Dec 10th, 02, 8:45 PM Those tires are very well known in the road racing cicuit. A friend put some on his Eagle Talon, and said they have exellent water treading ability, very good grip. He has the 712 series in a 205 50 16. Have'nt had any experience with their pass. car tires. I plan on getting the 255/50/17 for my Caprice soon, only 92bucks from DISCOUNT TIRE.

ssbums Dec 13th, 02, 6:01 PM Well these posts are all very confirming for me! I was planning to get the 255/50/17 Kumhos for my 68. I have read a lot of good things. Seems like a nice lo-buck way to get a decent tire!!!
rollin_92gt Dec 14th, 02, 9:11 PM I have a set on my 2001 mustang gt and they are pretty good tires. Idle away easy on take off in the rain if not.....your spinning, even with traction control, they spin for a second. Good looking tire by the way. I have 245/45/17 by the way.
