i have a 1969 el camino custom 396 with a tilt column. for some reason the key will turn but engine will not turn over or do anything. i just replaced the ignition switch.

any ideas??

Was this a Column shifted car that the shifter has been moved to the floor? If so by hand turn the collar on the column where the shfter was counterclock wise this may be the problem.
