I saw a set of chromed IROC wheels on an El Camino the last time I was at the Pomona swap meet. It looked HOT!!! Once I get some money, I think that will be my choice for wheels. Not sure what company was selling them, but I wouldn't think they would too expensive compared to other aftermarket wheels.

If I recall correctly to use those whells on a Chevelle you need to either use four fronts or all four rears. The front and rears have different offsets.

I think you'll find that those wheels have a LOT of backspacing, (negative offset). That would make it hard to fit a tire of any decent size on your 69.

Offset for the fronts are 4.5, rear offset is 4.75 I tried them on my 72 elky and they fit fine with the stock Z tires.
They are a 16"x8 rim

Oh no! Don't insult the car with those ugly and inappropriate wheels. They belong on plastic throw away cars, not on our classics.

There is one of those beasts in my neighborhood. I will try to snap a picture of it. I think the wheels looks out of place on our shape of car. I think you need a ride where the fender is round and the rim is even with the lip like on a.... IROC http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif , not hidden under a Chevelle fender. -my $.02

I don't think they look bad at all.
Kinda cool using Chevy wheels on a chevy.
But deffinately polish them. They look a lot nicer that way. I've considered that option myself.
