chevymike Oct 29th, 02, 11:04 AM I have two pairs of 15x10 slot mag wheels. Plus a pair of 14x5.5 and a set of 14x7. Most of these I have bought at auto swapmeets. E-bay has them all the time. Search for slotted mags or slotted wheels. The big thing you will find, most 15x10's have between a 3 1/2" to 4" backspacing. Not going to work on a stock Chevelle. My wheels are for my '63 Nova pro-street car I am building. Narrowed axle and frame. Good luck.
SDuster11 Oct 29th, 02, 2:35 PM Ok I have a Camino with the rolled fender edges and air shocks. What should the correct backspacing be on 15x10's? Plus I have a spacer on the coils (maybe another inch) so if I am wanting to put 295\50's what backspacing would work? Thanks

pmullaly Nov 16th, 02, 6:42 PM SDuster finally got around to mounting the rim.
15X10 with a3.5 in Backspace. On the inside there is 1.5 inches of clearance between the rim and the shock mount(lower). 3.5 inches between the rim and the frame rail. 5 inches between the edge of rim and the wheel well upper edge. If you hold a straight edge vertically against the rim outer edge the straightedge intersects the middle of the wheel well lip, shave the trim and roll the edge and you'll have clearance.
I did have these on my 442 back in the day and with spring spacers and air shocks I was running 250-50x15's and the only time I would encounter rubbing is when turning into or out of a steep driveway (sidewall would scrape the wheel well lip)

To fit correctly,15x10's need 5.5" backspacing. Anything less and you are going to have fitment problems.
SDuster11 Nov 18th, 02, 11:19 PM Hey pmullaly are do you have a set price for the two wheels? Let me know. Thanks,

SDuster11 Nov 20th, 02, 9:58 PM Yes I did know that but by doing so I have heard you don't receive an "accurate footprint" meaning the sidewalls will balloon plus it doesn't seat as well. So I'm wanting 10in. rims. Thanks though,
Dustin

pmullaly Nov 22nd, 02, 10:26 PM Dustin, I spoke with your Father today about the rims I'll email some pictures Saturday.
After you see the photos then you can tell me what you think and see how far apart we are. They aren't going anywhere.
